A Solar System is a group of bodies orbiting around a star or stars. In Hazeron, these bodies are divided into five orbital zones: Inferno, Inner, Habitable, Outer, and Frigid. Inferno worlds are covered with magma, Inner worlds are hot but can sustain some life, Habitable worlds have the most variety of life as well as being the easiest to colonize, Outer worlds are colder and have limited life, while Frigid worlds are barren worlds of ice.
Depending on the type of star, the orbital zones can expand more or less, for example a tiny red dwarf can have only Frigid planets and moons, while a hot blue star can have such a large Inferno zone that all of its planets will be of the Inferno type. However, a Ringworld may occasionally be found, although this can be something of a double-edged sword, as ringworlds do not have the capacity to produce anything beyond what may be found in habitable planets. On the other hand, they have the surface area of seven planets put together.
Each system's Habitable zone is also capable of producing one Officer. The Inferno and Frigid zones are useful for the resources they carry. Frigid worlds may contain Cryozine, Polytaride Gas, Myrathane, Bolite, high amounts of Ice and have the highest availability for Lumenite, while Inferno worlds may contain Magmex, Vulcanite, Ioplasma and Phlogiston. Habitable worlds, on the other hand, are the only ones capable of producing Oil and Coal. However, they are incapable of producing any materials superior to metal, and are devoid of Eludium, a material that may only be located on worlds without an atmosphere.
